Having finally seen The Great Gatsby, we’re pretty much in love with all things Carey Mulligan at the moment and this understated hairdo with simple blood red lips, is no exception.

We love a good halo braid and it’s nice to see one of the always-stunning Freida Pinto. The drop earrings are a good way to complete this look. Diamonds optional obviously.

Wow! Nicole Kidman certainly pulled out all the stops with her hair this year. It was French plaited and then pulled to the side in a messy braid. The skinny black ribbon was a nice extra.
